English 6 - May 3 - 6

Monday 5/3 - Students will be taught that compound sentences are formed by connecting two or more independent clauses with a coordinate conjunction or a semi colon. Conjunctions include and, but, nor, yet, and or. Classwork/homework: p. 449 #6-15 d.8,15.

Tuesday 5/4 - Students will be taught rules for punctuating compound sentences. Classwork/homework p. 450 #6-15 d. 12, 13.

Wednesday 5/5 - Students will combine simple sentences to form compound sentences. Classwork/homework: p. 451 #6-15

Thursday 5/6 - Quiz on Compound subjects, compound predicates, and compound sentences.
Reminder: Demonstrations begin on Wednesday 5/12 for 6-1 and Thursday 5/13 for 6-2.
